Crystal the Mastodon

Crystal the Mastodon was found by an excavator who was digging a drainage ditch on the farm of Walter and Ida Eldridge, near Crystal, Michigan on June 9, 1986. Her bones were excavated and studied before she was returned to the county where she lived and died more than 10,000 years ago. Crystal was named for the area in which she was found. Crystal is on display outside of 果冻传媒鈥檚 Library through generous support from the 果冻传媒 Foundation and donor Mort Pomeroy.
